Bridge to Bachelor's Program

The Bridge to Bachelor's program is designed for students who don't have all of the 60 credit hours needed to start a degree program. And to help you reach your goals, IWU makes financing your education easier. Because the "Bridge" is an integral part of IWU 's distance learning Bachelor's degree programs, it qualifies for federal financial aid programs, such as Stafford loans.

If you have 36 to 59 transferable credit hours of previous college course work, you can immediately begin working toward a distance learning Bachelor's degree in IWU 's support values-based learning environment. This program allows you to begin working immediately on a distance learning Bachelor's degree completion program. These programs are the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM), Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems (BSBIS), Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and Registered Nurse Bachelor of Science Completion (RNBS).

"Bridge" Admission Requirements:

  1. Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
  2. Acceptance to an IWU Bachelor's degree program with 36-59 credit hours earned from a regionally accredited college or university.
  3. An overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher in previous college work.
  4. Submission of all required items for the admissions process as outlined in the "application procedures" section of the online application or application packet.
  5. A minimum of two years of significant full-time work experience beyond high school.

Program Cost:

  1. Total cost: The total cost will vary depending on the number of credit hours you take, as well as when you enroll in the Bridge Program. For complete information please contact your admissions representative.
  2. Months to complete: 10 months
  3. Number of courses in core: 8

Program Completion Requirements:

  1. Successfully complete sufficient coursework in the "Bridge" curriculum to meet the 60-credit-hour requirement for admission to a baccalaureate program.
  2. A grade of C or higher in each IWU undergraduate level course taken
  3. Payment of all Tuition and Fees
  4. Upon successful completion of the required course work and other requirements (listed above) Indiana Wesleyan University will accept the student for transfer into the desired IWU baccalaureate program.
